I spent 20 years as a strategy consultant, which meant living out of a suitcase most of the year. But everywhere I went—hidden alleyways in Marrakesh's Medina, mountain villages in San Miguel de Allende (my second home), antique fairs across Europe, the Rose Bowl flea market at dawn—I was hunting for vessels with character.

Mid-century pottery. Hand-thrown ceramics. Silver trophy urns. Vintage teapots. That weird pitcher you inherited from your grandmother. If it has a hole, we'll fill it.
